Are you a wood producer?
Westwoods is
looking to recruit wood fuel suppliers in the
West of England and beyond. We would like to
hear from individuals, businesses and organisations
that currently grow or have access to wood,
such as:
- Woodland owners
- Estate owners / land managers
- Farmers with woodland
- Farmers growing energy crops
- Arboricultural contractors
- Clean wood-waste producers
Sustainably developing woodland resources
The principal aim of the Westwoods project
is to bring more woodland into management
and thereby make more wood fuel
available to local markets.
If you are already a wood fuel supplier, or if you're
simply interested in learning more about the
potential opportunities for developing your
woodland resources, then we would like to
hear from you.
Woodland development options
We can advise you on
the options for developing your wood
resource, ranging from the 'hands-on' approach, where
you are directly involved in supply, to the
'hassle-free', packaged-solution approach, where a contractor
manages your woodland for you.
What we're looking for from our members
We want our members to be able to provide
excellent quality wood fuel and customer service. Essentially this means that you must be able to:
- Produce wood fuel to specification
- Produce clean wood chips with no foreign matter or contaminants
- Deliver on time but able to offer customers flexibility (within reason)
- Offer evidence of provenance
- Invoice correctly and punctually
- Be contactable
