Become a member of the West
of England's wood fuel
producer group
If you are
responsible for, or have
access to any area of managed or unmanaged woodland, or other legitimate sources of wood fuel, and you would
be interested in becoming
a member of the Westwoods producer group, then please contact us.
First, we will discuss with you the options available to you or your
organization and also conduct a site visit.
You will then be invited to complete a
membership agreement in which you agree to abide by the rules and principles of the producer group; this includes
making a commitment to uphold our quality control standards and procedures.
For the present time, membership of the Westwoods producer group is FREE.
Brokering fees
Westwoods currently charge a brokering fee of 2% of the annual wood fuel contract amount to the wood fuel supplier.
Based on a contract for 150 tonnes/yr of woodchip (at 30% moisture content) and a woodfuel price of £90/tonne, this
would represent a fee in the region of £270/year.

Westwoods is not-for-profit
Westwoods' brokering fees are sustained at the minimum level to meet our operating costs - any surplus is reinvested in the project.
