Planning ahead pays dividends
Ideally, you should organise your wood fuel supply at the same time that you get quotes or put out a tender for your boiler. This might be as much as 18 months ahead of when the boiler is due to come on-line.

Unfortunately, in most cases the fuel supply gets left until the last minute. This does not give a supplier the time to plan ahead, buy timber in bulk and allow it to season. The result is that you will end up paying a higher price.

Simplify your fuel procurement
Westwoods can help wood fuel energy consumers to source woodfuel through the group's supplier members.

We will visit your site in order to understand your user-requirements, your boiler choice, woodfuel specification, fuel store type and dimensions, and the delivery logistics.

Tender for a supplier from the producer group
We can then produce a project-specific woodfuel tender and send this out to appropriate producer-members who are able to fulfil these requirements. We can offer technical assistance in interpreting the responses but you make the final choice of supplier.
